Letter from Maida Riggs to Alfred D. Riggs and Winifred L. Riggs
Description:
Letter describes shopping in London, celebrating Christmas with Jean, a trip to Taunton to celebrate New Year's Eve and viewing the destruction from bombs, a violet farm on the Exeter side of Dawlish, getting separated from and reuniting with Jean on a trip to Teignmouth, and sightseeing in England. She talks about the emotional toll of living in a communal household with many guests and talking to so many soldiers, but tries to live in the present.
