Memorandum from Maida Riggs to Don Momand and letter to Riggs family
Description:
Combines typed report to Momand and handwritten letter to family. Describes feeding 950 men despite their Captain, Ruth Kniep, being sick and a broken cylindar. Maida describes a week of running a clubmobile for the American Red Cross in England during World War II, trying to visit their captain in the hospital by bicycle but being unable to find her, attending a dance, visiting the oldest village in England, going on a date, and traveling primarily by bicycle. Certain words are redacted either by a black line drawn through them or being cut out from the page entirely.
