Phil thanks Harry for the package of Nabiscos that he received, but scolds Harry for sending them, knowing that resources are scarce. Phil's necessities are provided for and he can live without luxuries. He comments that although they were told they would be leaving on Sunday, Sunday has come and gone and they are still there. He does not know when they will leave but thinks it won't be long. He's received other mail, including magazines from "that Farley dame" (Hazel Bailey) and additional Nabiscos and gum from his sister Helen. He comments on the price of postage and says that he will mail back his civilian clothes at a later time, when it is less expensive.
