This photograph shows the 1966 Springfield College field hockey team. They had a 1-4-1 season record, winning against Mount Holyoke College. The Springfield College Field Hockey program started in the 1950s as an intramural sport. The early days consisted of few practices and contests and gradually grew into the intercollegiate sport it is today. Note, in first row, third from right with the blond hair is Jean (Ungberg) MacIntyre.
