Submission text: I had been at the finish line every year for the past ten years... until last year. I vowed on 4.15.13, that I would never miss another marathon. The terrifying feeling that my loved ones and city was under siege and I wasn't there to help still hurts. Many people to this day tell me that I'm lucky to have not been there on that day. My response to them is that my heart and soul were in Boston on that day and I would have given anything for my body to be as well. My friends were injured. I could have carried them. I could have helped. I should have been there. 1 year later the images are still gut wrenching and they always will be. If home is where your heart is, regardless where my body resides, my home is and always will be Boston. Boston Strong. Run Now. 4/17/14. RM.
