From a series of images of Captain Tilton of the schooner "Alice S. Wentworth" (launched 1863, rebuilt and rechristened 1904). Photos made 12-3-37 at Pierce and Kilburn Marine Railways (also known as the "PK Yards" or Fairhaven Shipyard). Tilton operated up and down the New England coast from the late 1800s to 1940.
