Two unidentified players sit in the grass on a baseball field. The two players are looking in opposite directions as one of them is sitting in the grass with their legs spread out in front of them and the other player has one knee on the ground in front of them and one knee behind them on the ground and is lunging forward. There are multiple unidentified people standing in the background behind these two players.
The two players are demonstrating the correct way to complete a straight slide into the base. The player on the left side is demonstrating the early techniques that a baseball player should use when completing a straight slide while the player on the right side is demonstrating the correct way to finish a straight slide into the base. The player on the left side brings his under leg forward in front of his body as he slides into the base as he points his toe towards the base. The player on the right side demonstrates the correct motion that should follow the motion the player on the left is showing, as he carries his upper leg above the lower leg but keeps them separated from one another, meaning that his two legs aren't touching. This helps the baserunner spread out their body weight more evenly along with also lowering the chance of injury that could occur if the two legs collided with one another.

This digital image is made from two separate digital scans; one scan of the lantern slide (reflective); one scan of the image (transparecy); the two images were then combined in Photoshop to create the final image.
