World War I Crepe Paper decorations - came from home of Grace L. Whittemore who lived at 4 Water Street. The object is seven pieces of cream colored crepe paper that were clearly originally all one single sheet. The design is an alternating pattern of a World War I soldier and a World War I sailor, each holding a gun with a bayonet attached to the end. The soldier and sailor are both facing proper right in three-quarter view. The figures are standing in front of bunting in three large stripes of blue, white, and red. The bunting is in swags, with the crest of each swag between the figures' heads. An American eagle, its wings outstretched, is positioned over the lowest point of each swag.
