Leander Gage King (1830-1863), Captain of Company C 16th Massachusetts Volunteer Regiment, was killed in action during the Battle of Gettysburg on 2 July 1863. The collection contains 112 letters written by Captain Leander Gage King to his wife Sarah (Brown) King (1835-1933).
