Letter from Joseph Langland to Judith G. Wood Langland
Description:
Writes while surrounded by field manual and a rating sheet. Looks like they will graduate on the 11th and plans to take the Southern Special to New York that evening. Informed his mother how he is holding up: "I answered truly that I am healthier, stronger, weigh more, and in the finest mental condition. If they want to lay it on thicker I am ready for it. And I know that I can take anything they throw at me. When a man enters this course in a healthy condition and good frame of mind the challenge of it will only make him stronger and healthier." Dreams of a future home together.
