Description:
Letter describes a week-long recon mission on Hill 445 where the Viet Cong were waiting for them. The battle lasted two and a half hours, and of the 18 marines in the mission, one was killed and five were wounded. He writes that he cannot talk about what happened there any more because it was too painful.
