The program details the early Spanish explorers and settlers, the life of Mexican immigrants fleeing the Mexican Revolution in the early 1900s, racial prejudice, the struggle for civil rights and equal representation in government, education and healthcare and citizenship and voting issues. The program is dual language, the first portion is in English and the second portion repeats it in Spanish.
