Rufus and Emily Waterman House, 219 Benefit St., Providence, R.I.
Description:
The Rufus Waterman house was built in 1830 and designed by architect John Holden Greene. The third story was added in 1866. Today it is the University Club and has additions in the north and south. Several other houses can be seen surrounding the dwelling, and the house has a raised front entrance with two sets of stairs.
