"Apoplexy" is here personified by Sébastiani and "Paralysis" by the Grey Eminence, Talleyrand. The print shows the road they took from the Directoire via Napoléon to the Restoration. In this lithograph Talleyrand, French Ambassador to England, is returning to Paris from London. In 1834, he had succeeded in forming the Alliance for the solution of the Belgian question.
