Tableaux (after Kandinsky) for Piano and Orchestra
Tableaux for Piano and Orchestra
Tableaux
Description:
The Seattle Symphony Orchestra, led by Gerard Schwarz, commissioned "Tableaux (after Kandinsky)". Lazaorf admired Kandinsky's work and the idea of abstractionism. We know that Lazarof travelled across Europe to personally view Kandinsky's art before he began composing this piece. The composition is written for solo piano and orchestra. Throughout the work, various rhythmic patterns move the music foward. In this folder, we have the fair copy of the score with clear notation and minimal edits in red ink.
The manuscript is written in pencil on G.Schrimer Imperial Brand No.14 - 34 staves paper. rental copy of the parts (trpt 17/37; trpt 2 18/37; trpt 3 19/37; trpt 4 20/37); bound copy of the score is in fake black leather.
