Johanson, (right) 85 Washington Avenue, Winthrop, presented her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Putnam, 462 Shirley Street, Winthrop, with a "Certificate of Appreciation" at Northeastern University's annual Evening Division Class Day Exercises held in the University's Godfrey L. Cabot Physical Education Center. The certificate is awarded to that person named by the graduate as contributing the most toward her education and cites the recipients for "encouragement, co-operation and understanding." Looking on is Dean Albert E. Everett, left, Dean of the School of Business and Director of Northeastern's Evening Division. Mrs. Johanson will receive a bachelor of business administration degree at commencement exercises Sunday, June 16, in the Boston Garden."
