Parcel C demonstration at New England Medical Center

Demonstrators hold signs as they protest outside the New England Medical Center in Chinatown, Boston. Some protesters are demonstrating for better health care and others against the New England Medical Center's proposal to build a parking garage on Parcel C in Chinatown. Demonstrators hold two protest signs that reads: "Spend $ [Money] on Health Care!" and "Health Care is a Right." There is also a large, red sign that is a "violation" issued on May 19, 1994, from the people of Boston to New England Medical Center (NEMC), at the location of Parcel C, Chinatown, for the NEMC's violations of: "Polluting the community; Pursuing wealth not health; [and] Parking on community land."
