McCormack writes Carr regarding an unspecified Tony Jacklin contract proposal. McCormack asks Carr what the effects would be if the United States and Canada were removed from the contract. McCormack describes Jacklin as "one of the hottest international properties" and states that he has had a very warm reception in the United States. Because of his reception, McCormack would like to limit the contract to Western Europe, leaving the United States, Canada and Australia open for their handling. McCormack suggests meeting in England while he is there for the Piccadilly tournament. Additionally, McCormack requests a follow up to a Rod Laver proposal.
