Description:
Dr. Gorham was a son-in-law of John Warren and succeeded Aaron Dexter to the Erving professorship of chemistry and materia medica at Harvard in 1816. He was also an editor of The New England Journal of Medicine and Surgery. John Gorham held the office of Treasurer of the Boston Medical Library and was one of its Trustees.
