Rectangular green cardboard box containing sixteen glass vials, fourteen empty, one corked, and one unopened. Unopened vial has green cap. There are eight empty slots where additional vials originally were.

This box of liver extract no. 343 was created circa 1929 by Eli Lilly and Company as a treatement for pernicious anemia, after methods developed by George Minot, William Murphy, and George Whipple. In 2013, Dr. Peter Tishler donated this box of liver extract no. 343 to the Warren Anatomical Musuem.
