Description:
From a set of two boxes of lantern slides by Dr. Robert Battey Greenough, covering his service in 1915 with the First Harvard Unit and the American Ambulance in France during World War I. Lantern slide taken in France during World War I, showing a patient with his right arm being bandaged and attached to a splint which extends straight out from his body, supported by a system of props attached to his torso. His arm may be amputated above the elbow.
