Item Text: I was standing between both of the bombings and was closer to the 2nd one. i was right across the street from Lord & Taylor and I had never seen so many people run for their lives. I just stood there with my friend and couldn't believe what had just happened, just awful. I almost stood in front of where the first bomb went off but I usually go up the street more. After the 2nd one went off, people started going into stores behind us to take cover. I just started running/walking down Boylston and then got onto Newbury St and then met my other friend at the Common. I just wanted to get away from the scene as soon as possible. I saw people on the ground but first responders had already reached them. I wish I could have done more to help people but I was just in a state of shock. The images and sounds will never escape my mind and I will never forget that day.
