A man just got out of the sea to visit with a woman. He is hunched over and dripping all over, resembling a sea lion. "La canicule" or "Dog-Days" were the extremely hot and humid summer days one still encounters nowadays between July 3 and August 11 in Paris. During these days many would flock to the beaches.
