This week on KPCC we've been delving into the topic of the Los Angeles River. We've heard from Angelenos who want more access to the River. Some even dream of wading or boating in it. Currently it's illegal to go into the river. That's mostly because of the danger of being swept downstream when it's raining but, also, the water doesn't meet (water quality) standards for recreation. That might change, eventually. As KPCC's Ilsa Setziol reports, the LA River has become a test case for enforcing water quality regulations that have long been ignored.
