In this cover letter, Laura Clancy-Marek describes herself as an Instructional Assistant for the Worcester Public School system who teaches special education students in Kindergarten through 3rd grade. Clancy-Marek describes the idea of "community helpers" as being the impetus for her Grade One Reading Group's decision to write letters to the Boston Police Department. She states that the students letters were written and created with pride.
