McCormack notes that Gary Player is participating in the Dallas Open, primarily because the South African Marine Corporation desires him to, and will be attending the banquet on their behalf. However, Player will not be able to play a golf exhibition match with customers at that time, though he may be able to put on a brief clinic before the banquet.
