Abstinence Comes to Albuquerque brings into focus the controversy that followed when a contracted private group called Care Net (faith-based organization) began teaching abstinence in public schools. The group was saying that condoms were ineffective and students would get STIs if they had sex before marriage. Additionally, the group was controversially preaching about abortion.
