The new "Falloux" Law guaranteed freedom of education and also allowed the clerics - in this case the Jesuits - to return and spread their teachings in the schools. This development was supported by Charles Forbes de Thyon, Conte de Montalembert (1810-1870) as well as Louis Veuillot (1813-1883).
