Title (alt.):
Charivari. - And to think that Proudhon did not want us to attend the socialist banquet...... the poor man has never loved..... he totally ignores the fact that it is woman's presence which beautifies existence.
Description:
Two women are having a discussion about their attendance at a socialist banquet. Pierre-Joseph Proudhon (1809 - 1865), was the author of "Treatise About Property". A left-wing Deputy and well-known theoretician about anarchy, Proudhon was also an antifeminist. He was convinced that women had no place in politics and should confine her activities to the household.
