Discussing recent activity of the NCIA, including the organizations expose of the "Scared Straight" program and juvenile alternative correctional treatment systems advocacy. Current and project activities include a child advocacy program and juvenile decarceration project. Prospective grants include seeking funds from the National Endowment of the Arts to fund a national gallery for art created by institutionalized persons.
