At the Institute for the Crippled and Disabled's Hudson River Cruise for 2,000 of New York City's handicapped. Mayor Robert F. Wagner and Mrs. H. Lawrence Bogert, Jr., Institute President, present Dr. Louis Stevenson, 80-year-old double leg amputee, with the Institute's "Day in the Sun" award for "Rare Courage, Determination and Stirring Faith." Dr. Stevenson learned to walk at the institute on artificial legs. Since he was disabled a year ago, he has rebuilt his career as an economics consultant to the newspaper publishing industry.
