The 21-year-old quadriplegic polio victim is the former Virginia Granato of New york, who just two weeks ago was married to Michael Ryan, an able-bodied seaman and Vietnam veteran. She is an Office Practices student at the Vocational Training Center of the Institute for the Crippled and Disabled in New York.
