Sofa has double-chair back form similar to a wing chair; tall back with double arch crest; curved wings which terminate in outwardly scrolling arms; straight seat; fully upholstered back, wings, arms and seat with single row of brass tacks along edges; three cabriole front legs with scroll carved knees; three raked square rear legs beneath a turned bulb; and turned H-stretchers. Title, "3167" and "Hobart Ames" are handwritten on drawing. Also handwritten are "T Dec 31, 04" and "Also for F. S. Moseley."
