Reporting the various accomplishments and experiences of the Department between October 4, 1944 and July 1, 1945; highlighting the publication of Du Bois's work, "Color and Democracy," chapter in Logan's "What the Negro Wants," and prospective acceptance of "a book on Africa"; consults with the Secretary of State and other notable figures; attendance at and coordination of various conferences of national merit (the Colonial Conference in April; the United Nations Conference in May); the delivery of 21 lectures in 11 different states; efforts towards the coordination of the Fifth Pan African Congress; among other achievements; and making various requests of the Board to expand the scope and services of the Department.
