Women's straw bonnet with buckram liner and two detached straw brims. The back piece of the bonnet has finely woven straw. This head piece has a flat circular back and the front is shaped to a square. The underside has a curve cut out to accommodate the neck. There is a narrow straw border attached to part of the neck cut-out. The yellow stiff buckram liner is the same shape as the headpiece. There is a narrow buckram border around the neck cut-out. The weave of the buckram is similar to that of the straw. The first detached brim is made of finely woven straw and is unadorned except for a small area of the bottom two edges where the straw was woven into a separate border that followed the corner and bottom edge and then was attached with stitching. The second detached brim is also made of finely woven straw. It is much wider than the first brim and is completely unadorned. The edges are all raw and unfinished, but loose threads around the edge indicate that it was attached to a head piece at one time.
