Formal portrait of James Fowler Adams of the Class of 1911. He went on to become an associate professor in Plant Pathology at Pennsylvania State College and a Fellow in Botany at Columbia University. He also served briefly in the war as infantryman with the Medical School of Washington, D.C. from June 29, 1918 to April 19, 1919. "Kinsman" signed on front of mount. "From the Studio of H. E. Kinsman ... [et al.]" printed on back. "Univ. of Mass. Archives" stamped on back.
