Holocaust survivor Janet Appelfield discusses her experiences during the Holocaust as part of the Philip N. Backstrom Survivor Lecture Series held during Northeastern University's annual Holocaust Awareness Week. Appelfield, who was a young child living in Poland when the war began, was hidden by a Polish woman and later by her cousin who received Polish papers. When her cousin was arrested by the Gestapo, Appelfield was taken in by a another Polish family and lived on their farm, and was reunited her father after the war. She also speaks about postwar Polish anti-Semitism.
