Holocaust survivor Freida Grayzel discusses her experiences during the Holocaust as part of the Philip N. Backstrom Survivor Lecture Series held during Northeastern University's annual Holocaust Awareness Week. Grayzel, originally from Poland, was a young child when the war began. She did forced labor in her hometown's ghetto and spent time in the Blizyn concentration camp before being transported to Auschwitz. In Auschwitz she and her cousin survived by living in a barracks with twins who underwent medical experiments; her cousin and mother also survived the camp and they were later reunited with her father.
