Holocaust survivor Stephan Lewy discusses his experiences during the Holocaust as part of the Philip N. Backstrom Survivor Lecture Series held during Northeastern University's annual Holocaust Awareness Week. Lewy, originally from Germany, was orphaned at a young age and was eight years old when Hitler came to power. He was later sent to France, and escaped to the United States via Casablanca. He was drafted into the U.S. army, serving in Europe, and was among the first American troops into Buchenwald. He also answers audience questions.
