Husband and wife Holocaust survivors Erika and Stephen Tauber discuss their experiences during the Holocaust as part of the Philip N. Backstrom Survivor Lecture Series held during Northeastern University's annual Holocaust Awareness Week. Erika Tauber, originally from Vienna, Austria was a young girl when the war began. She traveled from country to country with her family, hiding for some time in France, before coming to America. Stephen Tauber, Erika's husband, was also a child in Vienna, Austria when the war began. His father was hired as a surgeon in India and they were able to move there; later the British arrested them as German enemy aliens but they were able to gain visas to the United States.
