Willis C. Gorthy holds a framed certificate of the 1957 Thumbs Up Award presented to the Gificraft Leather Company awarded by the Institute for the Crippled and Disabled and the Young Men's Board of Trade with a group of men and one woman. Another man holds a sign that reads, "Higher the handicapped says Joe Palooka, they're a great investment. Call your local public employment office." Joe Palooka was a popular comic book character from the 1930s to 1950s.
