Caption reads, "High Honors for Courage: At graduation exercises of the Institute for the Crippled and disabled here, June 2nd, seven-year-old Clifford Ross of New York City, and Joseph Lucca, 28, of Queens, receive top honors for successfully overcoming great physical handicaps in taking their places in society. Presenting them with their diplomas is advertising executive Bruce Barton, president of the Institute. Clifford, a cerebral palsy victim, and Lucca, whose legs and arms were paralyzed after a swimming accident, were two of the 160 graduates who received a total of 219 prizes and awards. The ceremony took place at the Institute."
