Letter from Benjamin Smith Lyman to J. Peter Lesley
Description:
Lyman requests that Mr. Lesley send or bring a specific type of clinometer and a pocket compass to help improve the measuring of dips in the land being surveyed, in addition reiterating his need for several other small plotting tools. He explains that the weather is limiting the amount of surveying that can be accomplished and details what has, and has not been completed.
