A view of the carved shell-top corner cupboard, with its doors open, in the Georgian-style Jaffrey House on Daniel Street in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The shelves are stacked with various glassware, dishes, platters, pitchers, and other serving vessels. A carved cornice and Corinthian pilasters adorn the cupbord. A bow-back Windsor chair stands next to the cupboard. George Jaffrey, a New Hampshire Supreme Court justice, built the house on Daniel Street in 1730. The Museum of Fine Arts purchased the house in 1919 and removed two interiors and a cupboard. The house was destroyed in 1920.
