Submission text: April 15 is my birthday. We celebrated by going to the marathon and cheering the runners on. When the first bomb went off, we were at the finish line, but on the side opposite the bomb. We thought it was fireworks to celebrate the runners. We ran toward it. The rest is, as they say, history.
