Surface: crowned 4 in., hard, covered with dust, stones protruding material: gravel with large stones sides: right, turf rises above edge of road 3 in. then level, left, turf rises above edge of road 2 in. slopes down gutters: right, at edge of road 4 in. deep, left, at edge of road 4 in. deep sidewalks: right, none, left, none. Remarks: needs new gravel on surface and turf cut away on sides, so water can drain off. Photograph accompanies the Report of the Commission to Improve the Highways of the Commonwealth, 1893.
