The document is a notice from John Cutter requiring the constable of Cambridge, Zachariah Hill, to notify freeholders and inhabitants in the northwest precinct or parish, who are qualified to vote, to attend a town meeting on March 4th 1736/7. The tasks required for the meeting are numbered 1-4. First, the constituents are being asked to vote for precinct officers; to hear a report of a recently appointed committee; to discuss how to settle an orthodox minister the precinct; and to discuss how to accomodate Charlestown neighbors who recently joined their parish with suitable seats in their meeting house. A response was required on or before the date for the meeting. The reverse contains a short response from Zachariah Hill that he has notified his precinct.
