Foot warmer - 19th Century American Pierced tin box in outer wood frame with turned corner posts and thick wire handle. One slat across top, a second slat is missing. Box has separate hinged door with looped wire handle on one side that turns to keep the door closed. Hinges have been replaced. Top has a large, irregular hole in the center. Decorative pattern of various size holes pierced into box: top: 3 sets of 3 rows of large holes sides: "vine" pattern in small holes with large holes at terminal points, incomplete circle with side "fronds"; large holes at corners Size 9" x 8" x 5 1/2"
