APPARITION DU FAMEUX SERPENT DE LA RUE LACÉPÈDE. - Ne trouvez-vous pas qu'il ressemble a un canard....
Title (alt.):
APPEARANCE OF THE FAMOUS SERPENT OF RUE LACÉPÈDE. - Don't you think it looks like a duck..... Charivari
Description:
Some people are looking up at the famous snake of the Rue Lacépède, only to realize that it is a duck (a joke). Apparently, a snake had escaped from the Botanical Garden and everybody in Paris was looking for it. Only later it became obvious that it wasn't a snake, but rather a false newspaper report (canard).
