Letter from Kenneth G. Garside to Anne Garside Cann
Description:
The NCA Directors meet Monday; is exhausted from working on income taxes and budgets. Returning from Taunton, he picked up two boys "and was surprised to hear them say they were Republicans -- I didn't know there were any more. I hope that the significance of Mr. Truman's Mr. Duer's speeches with regard to where the money is coming from sinks into some of our Republicans who have been led astray. Well, the inevitable trend toward socialism you know -- how painfully apparent it becomes at income tax time!"
